Why Charice is a success?

I only discovered (accidentally) about Charice this week from Oprah's show aired in Astro.
(The episode shows Charice sang with Celine Dion(!!) . )

Charice, a very young girl (16) who can sing very very well...first impression.
She inspired me with her singing, truly.

After that, I googled her up, and get to know more about her.
And then I was totally addicted to Charice, and almost go through all her performance available on Youtube, Charice-related websites, etc.

I was wonder why a Philippino singer can reach such height, besides she is really good and really really cute! Ok, the details of how "BIG" Charice are...please see Wiki

Why Charice? What make Charice such a success?

Charice, Herself

• Charice is adorable. She got the kind of cute little girl personality that attract people's affection, so "pure" and innocent.
  
• Charice is excellent. Excellent inspires. She inspires people with her excellent singing. And her excellent does not just come easily but with hard work, persistent, and an excellent mom too.

Other outside factors :

• The World is so Flat - Thanks to YouTube create a platform which really eliminate the space separation of the world. Thanks to someone (FalseVoice) who uploaded Charice's videos.
  
• Riding on the shoulder of Giants - Charice landed on the safe hand of highly capable peoples who can really make her to be where Charice could be. (Oprah, David Foster)
  

Also, the other reason that I blog about her now is that: Charice is going to sing at Obama's Inaugural Ball on January 18!

So watch out for her!

Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009!

Time to say bye (to 2008) and say hi (to 2009)!

As usual, the first thing to do for new year is to make some resolutions.
(it does not matter if were able to "survive" through even the 1st month of the year.)

Just failed 1 of my resolutions for 2009, to reduce weight, this is because meeting friends at 1am for New Year Supper Celebration.

(so better make more resolutions, in order to reduce the rate of failure...)

(Maybe when LG asked their engineers to design a Korean TV and there is typo - so - their engineers (probably from LG Indonesia) end up designing a Koran TV)

The Future:
The TV in public area will not need be connected to cable/antenna/astro.
Just play the built-in Koran (with the REPEAT ALL mode on)

Will LG launch a pre-installed Korean Dramas version?

South Korea's LG releases 'Koran TV' in Mideast

SEOUL : South Korea's largest home appliance maker LG Electronics said Tuesday it has released a new television in Middle Eastern markets which includes the Koran installed as a digital text.

The model comes in 42 and 50-inch panels and lets viewers read all 114 chapters of the Islamic holy book on screen by controlling its menu, LG said in a statement.

The television, which also comes with a 160-gigabyte hard drive to store video content, allows users to bookmark up to 10 spots within the religious text.

"We came up with the model after realising that faithful Muslims read the Koran on a daily basis," said Park Jong-Seok, vice president of LG's plasma display panel division.

Last year LG said it aimed to post six billion dollars in sales of home appliances in Middle Eastern and African countries by 2010 by providing products that will appeal more to local consumers.

So the 2008 Beijing Olympic is just 31 days to go...

In order to celebrate the last one month wait to such world event, let do something to bring up our mood with some event focus activities...I suggest you can watch this video.

Synopsis / Plot / Review
Korea and Denmark had shared four Olympic titles for women’s handball from 1988 to 2000, with the Danes winning the latter two. The two dueling teams met again as finalists in 2004, and the pulsating game continued long and hard with a tie score leading to two killer overtimes and a penalty throw showdown.

Korea lost, but won what many call a silver medal that shines more brightly than the gold. At the time, Korean women’s handball was at its worst state ever, and players who should have been retired joined the national team to face the indefatigable Denmark. It was a miraculous achievement _ “the greatest moment of our lives” (the film’s title in Korean).
